Job Description:
Position: Power platform Developer
Location: Washington DC (4 days onsite per week)
JD:
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in software development, with proven delivery in enterprise environments.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum/SAFe teams.
- Power Platform Expertise: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Common Data Service (Dataverse).
- Canvas and Model-Driven Apps: Ability to design, develop, and deploy both Canvas apps and Model-driven apps.
- Data Integration: Experience integrating Power Apps with various data sources such as SharePoint, SQL Server, Azure, and other APIs.
- Power Automate: Proficient in creating automated workflows to streamline business processes.
- Custom Connectors: Ability to develop and use custom connectors for extending Power Apps functionality.
- JavaScript and Power Fx: Knowledge of Power Fx (the Power Apps formula language) and JavaScript for advanced customizations.
- UI/UX Design: Skills in designing user-friendly, responsive, and accessible app interfaces.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Collaboration: Ability to work with business analysts, stakeholders, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Security and Compliance: Understanding of data security, governance, and compliance in Power Platform environments.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional Power Apps solutions.
- Develop, test, and deploy Canvas and Model-driven Power Apps.
- Integrate Power Apps with various data sources and external systems.
- Design and implement Power Automate workflows to automate business processes.
- Customize applications using Power Fx formulas and JavaScript as needed.
- Ensure application security, data integrity, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power Apps and Power Platform solutions.
- Maintain documentation and provide user training and support.
- Stay updated with the latest Power Platform features and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Power Apps development.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform components.
- Understanding data modeling and database concepts.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker Associate) are a plus.
