We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Mortgage Compliance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our operations and business transactions follow all relevant legal and internal rules. You will also review employees' work and provide advice on compliance. This role involves a significant amount of risk management, so the ability to make prudent decisions under pressure is essential. You will have the opportunity to create a supportive work environment and influence our business's commercial and strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage an effective legal compliance program.
  • Develop and review company policies.
  • Advise management on the company's compliance with laws and regulations through detailed reports.
  • Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations.
  • Regularly audit company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risk.
  • Ensure all employees are educated on the latest regulations and processes.
  • Resolve employee concerns about legal compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date with internal standards and business goals.
  • Assess the business's future ventures to identify possible compliance risks.
  • Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience as a Compliance Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of industry processes and regulations.
  • Outstanding organizational and management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly ethical and professional.
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry's standards and regulations.
  • Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping.
  • A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality.
  • Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities.
  • An analytical mind able to "see" the complexities of procedures and regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Familiarity with TRID, ECOA, and HMDA is a must.
  • Certification in compliance law will be a plus.
