Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in building and supporting enterprise applications within the Capital Markets domain, specifically in Prime Brokerage, Repo, and Securities Lending. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing scalable backend systems and working closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance Java-based applications.
Work on Capital Markets platforms supporting Prime Brokerage, Repo, and Securities Lending functions.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
Develop and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
Participate in system enhancements, performance tuning, and application support activities.
Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Required Skills

8–10 years of hands-on experience in Java development.
Strong experience with Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
Experience with REST APIs, multithreading, and object-oriented design principles.
Good understanding of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, JMS, or MQ.
Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Domain experience in Prime Brokerage, Repo, Securities Lending, or Capital Markets.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale applications in financial services environments.
