Job#: 3017762 Job Description: Job SummaryThe State of Michigan is seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Developer to join an enterprise development team tasked with rebuilding the web application responsible for managing state residents' tax return and collection processes. This role involves working within an Agile/SCRUM environment alongside 8 developers and 1 project manager to deliver a secure, scalable, and efficient solution that supports critical financial operations for the state.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using .NET Core (3.1 or higher, 6.0 preferred) and C#.
- Build and integrate RESTful web services and Web APIs for seamless data exchange.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries (Select, Insert, Update) to support application functionality.
- Implement secure document upload functionality within the web application.
- Collaborate with team members in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Work closely with the project manager and stakeholders to meet deadlines and project goals.
Qualifications- 6+ years of experience with .NET Core (3.1 or higher) and C# development.
- 5+ years of experience developing RESTful web services or Web APIs.
- 3+ years of experience developing web components with JavaScript.
- 5+ years of experience with SQL, including writing and maintaining complex queries.
- 3+ years of experience implementing document upload functionality in web applications.
- Some knowledge of Azure cloud services.
- 5+ years of experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments and participating in sprint-based development.
Preferred:- Experience with .NET 6.0.
- Strong understanding of enterprise-level application architecture and security best practices.
