Summary

Job Title: FinOps Architect / Designer

Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 6 Months Contract (Possible Extension/Conversion)
Rate: $75–$80/hour

Job Description

Seeking an experienced FinOps Architect/Designer to drive cloud cost optimization, financial governance, AI cost management, and unit economics across enterprise cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will combine FinOps expertise, cloud engineering, data analytics, and product ownership to improve cost visibility and align technology spending with business outcomes.

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Strong experience in FinOps, Cloud Cost Management, Forecasting, Cost Allocation, and Showback/Chargeback.

  • Expertise in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and hybrid cloud environments.

  • Experience with AI Cost Governance, Tokenomics, AI Inference Costs, and Model Optimization.

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Containers, Rightsizing, Autoscaling, and Workload Optimization.

  • Experience integrating FinOps into CI/CD, Terraform/IaC, and Datadog or similar observability platforms.

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, APIs, Excel, BI tools, and cloud cost platforms such as Cloudability, CloudHealth, Adaptive6, or Finout.

  • Experience with unit economics, data modeling, analytics, anomaly detection, and cost forecasting.

  • Strong stakeholder management, product ownership, and communication skills.

Preferred: FinOps Certified Practitioner, FinOps Certified Engineer, or TBM certification.
