Compensation Overview The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity? We are seeking a visionary and strategic Vice President to lead our Technology and Operations Strategy & Delivery Excellence organization reporting to the Vice President Strategy & Transformation. This executive role is responsible for transforming how we approach technology strategy, delivery excellence, and evolving the ways we work. The successful candidate will drive forward-looking insights, establish unified delivery practices, and shape technology priorities that align with business objectives and market trends.
What Will You Do? Strategic Leadership & Vision - Lead the transformation of the Strategy area into a forward-looking insights and storytelling engine that connects external market trends, enterprise architecture, financial considerations, and talent evolution
- Shape enterprise technology priorities through data-driven insights and strategic foresight
- Develop and communicate compelling narratives that influence executive decision-making and technology investments
- Drive strategic planning processes that align technology initiatives with business outcomes
Technology Strategy & Foresight - Establish and lead the Strategy & Tech Foresight function to anticipate and prepare for emerging technology trends
- Partner with architecture and finance teams to evaluate and engage with key platform and service partner vendors
- Enable the development of technology roadmaps that balance innovation with operational stability and cost effectiveness
- Deep understanding of modern software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices and methodologies
- Experience with agile, DevOps, and continuous delivery frameworks
- Strong background in enterprise architecture and technology strategy development
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and their business applications
- Experience with vendor management and strategic partnership development
Delivery Excellence & Transformation - Establish the Delivery Excellence organization in partnership with SDLC+ value stream leader and persona leads
- Document common software delivery practices and create playbooks with support from our organizational change management and learning areas as teams test and learn new technologies and ways of working
- Define and implement unified practices and modern delivery frameworks that improve speed, quality, and predictability
Performance Management & Optimization - Develop and implement OKRs and KPIs (Single Pane) to measure genAI adoption, agile metrics, engineering metrics and outcomes toward achieving our SDLC+ benefits
- Partner with Finance to quantify benefits and ROI of delivery transformation initiatives
- Establish governance frameworks for tracking adoption and outcomes
- Coach and mentor teams on utilizing Single Pane visibility tools and methodologies
Organizational Development - Build and lead high-performing team across Strategy and Delivery Excellence functions
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration
- Develop talent pipelines and succession planning for critical roles
- Champion knowledge sharing through Chapters and Communities of Practice (CoP)
Cross-Functional Partnership - Collaborate closely with enterprise architecture, finance, and business stakeholders
- Partner with SDLC+ value stream leader and team to ensure alignment and integration
- Work with persona leads to understand and address specific delivery needs
- Engage with executive leadership to communicate progress and strategic recommendation
Leadership & Management Skills - Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire large, diverse teams across multiple functions
- Strong change management and organizational transformation experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels
- Experience building and scaling new organizational capabilities
- Track record of developing high-performing teams and leaders
Business Acumen - Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and ROI analysis
- Understanding of business strategy and ability to translate technology capabilities into business value
- Experience working with Finance teams to quantify and communicate benefits
- Knowledge of performance measurement and continuous improvement methodologies
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have? - Experience in insurance, financial services, or highly regulated industries
- Background in management consulting or strategy development
- Certification in relevant methodologies (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Experience with modern delivery platforms and toolchains
- Track record of successful vendor negotiations and partnership development
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years in senior executive roles with P&L or significant budget responsibility
- Proven track record of leading large-scale technology transformations
What is a Must Have? - Bachelor's degree.
- 10 years of progressively increasing experience in Business/Program management/technology environment.
