Job Description:
Project Manager - Datacenter Transformation

Location: San Antonio, Texas (Hybrid)

Role Overview

An experienced Project Manager is sought to lead data center modernization and cloud transformation initiatives. This role will manage a portfolio of infrastructure projects, including a high-visibility tenant migration program, disaster recovery, cloud automation, and virtualization efforts. The position requires leadership across technical teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders, with a focus on navigating procurement processes and resource constraints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Microsoft tenant migration program (Government to Commercial), coordinating across security, infrastructure, and vendor teams.
  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives, including cloud automation, disaster recovery (DR) strategy, and virtualization programs.
  • Drive project planning and execution across all phases, from discovery and design to deployment.
  • Manage vendor onboarding, coordination, and the development, review, and approval of Statements of Work (SOWs) with procurement teams.
  • Navigate procurement timelines and vendor onboarding cycles, proactively mitigating delivery impacts.
  • Identify and manage dependencies across security requirements, third-party vendors, and shared internal technical resources.
  • Escalate and mitigate risks related to procurement delays, resource constraints, and approval bottlenecks.
  • Facilitate regular status meetings and provide executive updates to ensure alignment.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, status reports, financial tracking, and resource plans.
  • Ensure adherence to governance processes, security requirements, and organizational standards.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 10+ years of Project Management experience in IT infrastructure, data center transformation, or cloud migration programs. Proven experience leading large-scale cloud or tenant migration initiatives is required. This includes a background in enterprise infrastructure environments, covering both on-premise and cloud integration. Demonstrated experience working with third-party vendors, SOWs, and procurement processes is necessary.

Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and tenant-to-tenant migrations, including the M365 ecosystem, is required.

Certifications: PMP certification or an equivalent is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience navigating enterprise procurement, supply chain approvals, and vendor onboarding processes.
  • Ability to manage timelines impacted by contract reviews, change orders, and funding cycles.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent infrastructure initiatives within a shared resource model.
  • Experience coordinating vendors in environments with strict security or compliance requirements.
  • Experience communicating risks, delays, and tradeoffs to senior leadership to drive decisions.
  • Experience managing projects tied to budget cycles, fiscal-year constraints, and funding approvals.
  • Experience supporting utility or energy sector clients.
  • Experience working alongside large systems integration partners.
  • Familiarity with ERP and program prioritization challenges in enterprise environments.
