Title: React Full Stack Developer

Type: Long Term Conract

Location: Remote in Greater Boston Area

Our client is seeking an an experienced React Full stack Developer with a strong background in programming, web development, and data analysis to support scientific and research-focused teams. This role focuses on building flexible, user-friendly web applications that evolve to meet the changing needs of researchers and scientists. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys collaborating closely with end users to deliver impactful, data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications and data visualizations supporting scientific research
  • Work within a focused, cross-functional team to deliver scalable and flexible web solutions
  • Design, implement, and maintain databases for data-intensive web applications
  • Collaborate directly with researchers and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, prototype, test, and iterate
  • Prepare, tune, and manage data for analytics and visualization use cases
  • Apply secure development best practices and contribute to code reviews for quality, safety, and compliance
  • Support continuous improvement through thoughtful problem-solving and innovation

Technologies and Tools
  • Full web application stack, including front end, back end, and server environments
  • Front-end development using TypeScript, JavaScript, ReactJS, CSS, and GraphQL
  • Back-end development with Python, SQLAlchemy, and PostgreSQL
  • Automated testing frameworks such as pytest, Cypress, and Jest
  • Version control, code review processes, and secure development standards

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least 7 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with at least 5 years of related experience
  • Strong experience in modern web application development, including JavaScript, TypeScript, and ReactJS
  • Proven experience developing and supporting data-intensive applications
  • Solid understanding of SQL and query languages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with scientists, developers, analysts, and IT teams
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in research, scientific, or data-driven environments
  • Familiarity with data analytics and visualization workflows
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, evolving environments with changing requirements
