Summary

Description:
Hybrid two weeks onsite a month in Westlake, TX

The role will design and build robust front and middle tier web applications that deliver a stable and resilient digital experience for healthcare customers. The engineer will use modern frameworks, tooling, and secure coding practices to create performant web apps and APIs within an agile environment. The position will collaborate with architecture, security, UX, and platform teams to align on standards while advancing cloud-first engineering. The work will emphasize testable solutions, DevOps, and strong version control practices.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $60.00 to $67.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and deliver features for customer-facing web applications using Angular and TypeScript.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architecture, security, UX, and platform squads, to ensure architecturally compliant applications.
Design and consume RESTful APIs, contributing to API development with Java and Spring Boot.
Implement CI/CD and DevOps practices for application deployment and support.
Ensure software quality through unit testing and modern testing approaches.
Apply Agile practices to decompose complex problems into scalable solutions.
Provide engineering thought leadership to advance cloud-first strategies and healthcare management outcomes.
Participate in code reviews, debugging, and production support to deliver resilient systems.
Influence UI and technology strategy with a focus on end-user experience.
Support a cloud-first environment by upskilling teams on AWS native services.

Experience Requirements:

6+ years of full-stack development experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 4+ years with a Master's degree.
Expertise in Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and related web technologies.
Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and knowledge of API design practices.
Proficiency with Java EE, Spring MVC/Spring Boot, and related Java technologies.
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and modern testing frameworks.
Experience deploying applications to AWS and/or Azure.
Strong skills in version control using Git and various Git workflows.
Ability to deliver high-quality, scalable software systems using Agile methodologies.
Knowledge of cloud solutions, serverless architecture, and containerization strategies.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a desire to learn new technologies and industry trends.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field, with 6+ years of experience.
Master's in Computer Science or related field, with 4+ years of experience.
AWS Certification(s) (preferred).
