Data Protection and Privacy Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Protection and Privacy Manager in New York, NY.

Duties Include:
* Applying technical and operational industry leading practices involving privacy regulations/standards to assess privacy and data trust posture and improving and operating program
* Collaborating across various functions and with colleagues at all levels communicating privacy principles both clearly and effectively with both product and development teams
* Applying a consultative mindset to undertaking Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) of the firm's technologies to provide fit for purpose advice on key privacy risks and mitigations
* Intake, assignment, oversight/review and reporting for Privacy Review workstream
* OneTrust Cookie Consent & Preference Management: Help drive onboarding to cookie banner and preference center and provide technical and project support asset team onboarding processes
* Provide pragmatic business-led advice to teams to meet privacy requirements while balancing user experience objectives and business imperatives

REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma/GED required
* Understanding of common privacy industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, PIPEDA, HIPAA/HITECH, COPPA, U.S. State Breach Disclosure Laws, CANSPAM, GLBA,) and industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, GAPP, ISO), especially as it relates to building and operating a privacy program and/or managing internal privacy controls, risk assessments, business processes or operational auditing
* Familiarity with current and emerging AI related regulations in the US and Globally (e.g., Colorada AI Act and EU AI Act)
* Possessing knowledge of common privacy-related issues across all industries
* Possessing knowledge of privacy and data protection technologies and other emerging technologies
* Ability to manage relationships with senior stakeholders to align expectations and maintain trust, interviewing skills to conduct effective stakeholder consults
* Working proficiency with Microsoft suite, ChatGPT

Preferred Skills:
* Certification(s) Preferred: CIPT, CIPM, CIPP/E or CIPP/US
* Technical skills (backend test-script troubleshooting, cookie management)
* Experience with Cookie Consent module (OneTrust Certification preferred)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
