Work Location: The role is 100% remote.
Candidate location: No SC residency required. Open to Nationwide Candidates that are comfortable working EST Hours.

Job Description:
Specific duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Prepare and maintain process documentation, data flows, and diagrams for assigned processes (new and existing).
Work with end users to perform gap analysis, gather and document functional requirements, and create necessary processes
Assist with project and time management including estimates and status reporting
Ability to plan, organize, review, and implement associated project milestones to completion.
Process Development, Process Automation, and ETL Solutions MS T-SQL)
Rewriting of SAS code into SSIS Packages and Power B.I.; SSIS Debugging, Rewriting and optimization of remaining SAS code and queries as needed.
Data Pipeline and Reporting Development, Modification, Improvement, and Monitoring
Help format and automate data uploads into the Data Warehouse and Disease Surveillance Systems like CDC SAMS / eHARS and the new Electronic Disease Surveillance System (EpiTrax)
Parsing of multiple data formats including xml\\\, csv, SOAP, HL7
Assist with system, data and database migrations and related changes, testing, and validation
Help with eCR solutions including condition authoring, data import and utilization, process automation and troubleshooting, and data review, analysis, and reporting
Monitor production processing to ensure proper data flow and response times
Help to perform and automate daily maintenance processes
Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize new and existing processes.
Resolve processing issues.
Support related server, database, software upgrades, and new environment configuration
Ensure maximum system uptime for critical components to ensure business continuity.
Advise the Team on best practice and techniques. Mentor team and staff on advanced topics.
Modification / rewrite of existing processes and creation of new processes to be compliant with agency security requirements and following industry best standards
All source code (compiled and un-compiled) will become the sole property of the South Carolina Department of Public Health. Any source code, data, product, or functionality resulting from this SOW or previously owned/developed by DPH will remain the sole property of DPH and is not to be incorporated into the core product of any vendor's application. Any modifications and interfaces developed under said contract will not be used by the contractor for any independent project of the contractor or published or publicized by the contractor without written permission of DPH.
