What you will be doing The Data Governance and Standards Department has an opening for a Data Governance Manager. This position is in Pleasanton, California or Boise Idaho
Main responsibilities: - Responsible for overall data integrity for assigned categories
- Lead a team of analysts and provide direction on process, procedure and standards
- Ensure that legislative requirements impacted by item data is current in systems and across multiple states
- Identify data standardization opportunities, plan and execute
- Perform root cause analysis against issues across different systems related to master data
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for category and item specific needs
- Manage changing data needs for business programs and technology projects
- Implement processes to gain efficiency and improve data integrity
- Champion change within and outside of the organization
- Manage business rules for automation procedures
- Work with Product and Engineers on user interfaces and experiences to ensure efficiency in workflow
- Maintain documentation for procedures and standards for suppliers and internal users
- Act as a subject matter expert for a wide range of projects across the company
- Manage help articles and key questions to serve users both internal and external
- Oversee case management to ensure timely responses and comprehensive resolutions
- Write test scripts and lead continual regression testing for releases in multiple modules
- Travel as required to collaborate and provide quality support
We are looking for candidates who possess the following: - Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience
- Three years Albertsons system knowledge required or equivalent external experience
- Excellent planning and organizing skills required with complete follow-through
- High degree of PC skills and experience with SQL desired
- Experience with technology projects including leading user acceptance testing
- Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills
- Strong leadership skills - prior management experience strongly desired
- Ability to build relationships with a large internal customer base
- High degree of initiative required and an ability to quickly prioritize and direct focus on the team
- Must be highly skilled in problem solving, analysis, risk evaluation and solution development
