RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Greenwood Village, CO that is seeking a Cloud Software Developer.

This is a small, highly effective team that rapidly delivers software solutions using modern technologies at the leading edge of ISP and cloud platforms. This position is for a well-rounded software engineer interested in both user interface design and implementation using Ruby and TypeScript with Node.js and Express, as well as backend development in Java and JavaScript for AWS-based cloud platforms.

Responsibilities:
* Lead complex projects with teams of junior and senior engineers across multiple organizations, integrating billing and mediation systems with existing network elements
* Design and develop new software applications, including user interfaces and backend API components, as well as customize existing applications
* Work with AWS API Gateways, Lambda, and Cognito
* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements and conduct analysis to determine integration needs
* Work closely with engineering, product development, vendors, and standards or policy organizations
* Diagnose performance issues and propose, implement, and validate code improvements
* Support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) of software releases
* Build reliable, reusable software modules
* Integrate with metrics and auditing systems to monitor application health and usage

REQUIREMENTS:
* BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience (5+ years)
* 5+ years of experience with billing systems (postpaid and prepaid) and mediation systems
* 4+ years of backend and API design and development using Java and JavaScript
* 2+ years of user interface development using Ruby and JavaScript (TypeScript)
* 2+ years of hands-on Ruby development experience
* 2+ years of experience with data stores such as PostgreSQL and Redis
* 2+ years of experience working with AWS cloud services
* 1+ years of experience with Vue.js and TypeScript
* Experience with functional programming languages is a plus
* Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and algorithms
* Experience building multi-threaded applications for networking, web services, HTTP, and TCP/IP
* Strong understanding of high-volume, real-time processing systems clearly articulate complex technical concepts
* Proven design and problem-solving skills with a focus on architecting at scale
* Experience designing and developing large-scale systems with Unix/Linux environments
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
