We are seeking a Java API / MuleSoft Production Support Engineer for one of our clients. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting Java-based APIs and enterprise integrations in a production environment. Experience with MuleSoft is highly preferred, along with strong troubleshooting and incident management skills. This role requires close collaboration with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure the reliability, stability, and performance of critical integration services.
Key Responsibilities
Provide production support for Java-based APIs, integration services, and MuleSoft applications.
Monitor production systems, investigate incidents, and resolve issues within defined SLAs.
Troubleshoot API failures, integration issues, and performance bottlenecks.
Work with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement permanent fixes.
Utilize Dynatrace to monitor application health, analyze performance, and proactively identify issues.
Manage incidents, service requests, and change requests through ServiceNow.
Collaborate with development teams on code deployments, bug fixes, and production releases.
Maintain source code and deployment artifacts using GitHub.
Support API integrations with internal and external systems while ensuring system stability.
Participate in on-call support and production issue resolution as required.
Document production issues, resolutions, and support procedures.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in production/application support.
Strong experience supporting Java-based REST/SOA APIs and integration services.
Experience troubleshooting production issues in enterprise applications.
Working knowledge of API integrations and web services.
Experience with Dynatrace for application monitoring and performance analysis.
Hands-on experience using ServiceNow for incident and change management.
Experience with GitHub or other version control systems.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Mule applications.
Knowledge of API lifecycle management and enterprise integration patterns.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
Understanding of cloud platforms and microservices architecture is a plus.
