Summary

Avanciers are seeking an Engineering Technician to support product development and verification testing in a laboratory environment. This role involves executing test procedures, maintaining test setups, and ensuring compliance with engineering and safety standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Support design engineers with prototype assembly, component evaluation, and product testing.

  • Perform product and prototype testing per specifications and industry standards.

  • Analyze results and prepare accurate test reports and documentation.

  • Conduct safety and EMC compliance testing per UL, CSA, and IEC standards.

  • Build and maintain test fixtures and setups (mechanical and electrical).

  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic and electrical circuits using schematics.

  • Perform precision soldering of SMT components (1206 to 0402 sizes).

  • Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, power meters, and LabVIEW-based systems.

  • Support ISO/IEC 17025 audits and follow all safety and quality procedures.


Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 5+ years of experience, or

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 2+ years of experience.

  • Working knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).

  • Experience with UL, CSA, and IEC compliance testing preferred.

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
