Senior Windchill Developer / Solution Architect

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Windchill Developer / Solution Architect to design, develop, customize, and implement enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions using the PTC Windchill platform.

The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on expertise in Windchill development, customization, configuration, administration, integration, and solution architecture. This individual will play a key technical leadership role in delivering scalable, sustainable, and high-performing PLM solutions within a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end PLM solutions using the PTC Windchill platform.
• Develop, customize, configure, and maintain Windchill applications and solutions.
• Provide expertise across Windchill modules, including:
  • PDMLink
  • ProjectLink
  • MPMLink
  • PartsLink
  • QMS
  • SuMa
  • Options & Variants
  • ThingWorx Navigate
• Perform Windchill business administration and system administration activities.
• Design and implement integrations between Windchill and enterprise systems, including SAP S/4, AEM, MSD, ThingWorx, and other business applications.
• Develop and enhance solutions using Java, J2EE, Windchill APIs, REST Services, XML, JSP, and JavaScript.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Lead technical design discussions and provide architecture recommendations and best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and solution quality.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers and team members.
• Support troubleshooting, performance optimization, and resolution of complex Windchill-related issues.
• Develop reports using QML and Jasper as required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10–12 years of overall IT experience, including 10+ years of hands-on PTC Windchill development and solution architecture experience.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Windchill customization, configuration, business administration, and system administration.
• Strong experience with the following Windchill modules:
  • PDMLink
  • ProjectLink
  • MPMLink
  • PartsLink
  • QMS
  • SuMa
  • Options & Variants
  • ThingWorx Navigate
• Strong development expertise in:
  • Java / J2EE
  • Windchill APIs
  • REST Services
  • XML
  • JSP
  • JavaScript
• Proven experience integrating Windchill with enterprise applications and services.
• Proficiency with Oracle and SQL Server databases.
• Experience developing reports using QML and Jasper.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Must be able to work PST business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in semiconductor, manufacturing, or other product-centric industries.
• Experience with Windchill+ (SaaS) implementations and migration projects.
• PTC Windchill certifications.
• Previous experience leading complex PLM implementation, modernization, or integration initiatives.
