Summary

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

We are part of Micron's Yield Enhancement organization, focused on understanding and improving yield for next-generation memory technologies. We work at the intersection of data, devices, and process, using advanced analysis techniques to solve complex problems. Our work directly impacts product performance and manufacturing success!

This role centers on identifying yield issues by conducting electrical diagnostics and physical examination of failures. You will analyze data, locate failure mechanisms, and partner with multi-functional teams to improve device performance and stability. The position offers strong technical depth, hands-on analysis, and clear impact across development and production.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze probe, parametric, and fab data to identify yield issues
  • Perform electrical and physical failure analysis to resolve root causes
  • Collaborate with process and integration teams to resolve yield detractors
  • Develop and apply techniques to isolate and characterize device failures
  • Present findings and support technology transfer to manufacturing sites

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, materials science, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in semiconductor yield analysis or failure analysis
  • Understanding of semiconductor fabrication and device physics
  • Experience with data analysis, statistics, or coding tools
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and communicate findings

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience, or PhD in engineering, physics, materials science, or related field
  • Experience with memory devices and architecture
  • Hands-on experience with SEM, FIB, TEM, or related analysis tools
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
