Job Title: Sr Systems Engineer

Introduction:

As a Sr Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in performing resource and application mapping across complex infrastructure environments. You will be responsible for analyzing and documenting underlying infrastructure components, mapping storage objects to applications, developing reports based on discovery findings, and collaborating with platform and infrastructure teams to support integration initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Perform resource and application mapping across complex infrastructure environments.
• Analyze and document underlying infrastructure components across hundreds to thousands of devices.
• Understand and map storage objects to the applications utilizing them.
• Develop outputs and reports based on discovery findings using scripting and analytical tools.
• Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to support ongoing integration initiatives.
• Communicate technical findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Contribute to foundational infrastructure efforts within data centers and related facilities.

Requirements:

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of operating systems and infrastructure, including ESX/VMware, Windows, Unix, and Linux.
• Deep knowledge of storage concepts such as shared LUNs, clustered file systems, NAS, NFS, and SMB mounts.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell and Python.
• Experience using tools like Excel or Google Sheets to organize and present technical data.
• Ability to work across large-scale environments and create holistic infrastructure mappings.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical insights effectively.

Preferred Skills:

• VMware/ESX and compute infrastructure expertise.
• Storage mapping and the ability to connect storage objects to applications.
• Strong communication skills to clearly convey discoveries and technical outputs.
