Title: POS Functional Tester

Location: Coppell, Texas(Onsite)

We are seeking a Senior POS Functional Tester with strong expertise (+7 years experience) in Oracle Simphony POS testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in POS functional testing, hardware validation, integrations, and end-to-end transaction testing across restaurant operations. The role involves test planning, execution, defect management, POS lab setup, TestRail suite maintenance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in Agile environments. Mandatory to Work from office .

Key Responsibilities

• Identify test scope, dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Hands-on experience on Oracle Simphony Point of Sales systems and RES-3700 systems.
• Design, author, execute, and maintain test cases and regression suites in TestRail.
• Validate dine-in, bar, arcade, retail, and multi-revenue center transaction workflows.
• Perform Oracle Simphony POS functional testing including menus, pricing, taxes, discounts, loyalty, tenders, and promotions.
• Execute end-to-end testing for guest checks, split/merge checks, refunds, voids, KDS, receipt printing, and labor operations.
• Set up and maintain POS lab environments including terminals, handhelds, printers, KDS, scanners, and payment devices.
• Validate integrations with payment gateways, loyalty systems, online ordering, and reporting platforms.
• Perform database validation for transaction integrity and workstation synchronization.
• Log, track, and manage defects using Jira and TestRail.
• Assist Automation teams by providing functional KT, business workflow guidance, and testing support for automation script development.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong QA experience in Oracle Simphony POS testing within restaurant, entertainment, and hospitality domains.
• Simphony configurations using Oracle Simphony EMC module.
• Hands-on experience in POS functional testing, POS lab setup, hardware validation, Jira, and TestRail.
• Strong understanding of restaurant workflows, payment processing, menus, pricing, taxes, discounts, and loyalty programs.
• Experience with database testing and transaction validation.
• Familiarity with Cloud technologies, Kubernetes, and Docker environments.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
• Hands-on experience on Oracle Simphony Point of Sales systems and RES-3700 systems.

Good-to-Have

• Exposure to Oracle Simphony upgrades, migrations, and enterprise rollouts.
• Experience with multi-location POS deployments and production support validation.
• Knowledge of KDS, online ordering, loyalty, and payment gateway integrations.
• Automation exposure using Eggplant or similar automation tools.

Key Deliverables

• Authored and maintained test cases and regression suites in TestRail.
• Executed Oracle Simphony POS functional and integration test scenarios.
• POS hardware validation and database reconciliation reports.
• Defect tracking and reporting in Jira and TestRail.
• Weekly QA status reports, dashboards, and test summary reports.
