Network Engineer

MANTECH seeks an experienced and passionate, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Configure, secure, and deploy enterprise-level firewalls, primarily utilizing Palo Alto hardware and PAN-OS software to provide advanced network security solutions and manage traffic.
• Manage complex switching infrastructure across various networks, maintaining network stability and connectivity to mission-critical system infrastructure..
• Implement and support enterprise-grade routing solutions to facilitate secure and consistent data exchange across various networks.
• Perform routine security patching on switches, routers, and firewalls to ensure compliance and mitigate vulnerabilities across the networks.
• Preconfigure switches, firewalls, and routers so they are ready for immediate mission operation deployment.
• Plan, design, install, maintain, monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, modify, and support mission critical system networks to ensure maximum performance and availability.
• Provide technical support for LANs/WANs for mission critical systems and infrastructure.
• Solve complex network problems using analytical thinking, tools, and innovative approaches.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience with a technical Bachelor?s degree
• Experience configuring firewalls, primarily Palo Alto hardware and PAN-OS software.
• Experience managing switching infrastructure for mission-critical system connectivity.
• Experience implementing routing solutions to ensure secure data exchange.
• Experience performing security patching on switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Experience reconfiguring network devices for immediate mission deployment.
• Experience designing and maintaining complex LAN/WAN networks for maximum availability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with high-security or classified network environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead functional teams or complex network projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with advanced network monitoring and automation tools.

Clearance Requirement:

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
• Constantly operates a computer and other standard office equipment.
• Occasionally moves about the office to access files, equipment, and other work areas.
