Job Title: Senior Application Architect (Onsite)

Location: Pikesville, MD

Duration: 12+ Months (Long term)

Job Description:

The Application Architect will be the team leader, providing professional support services and/or the integration, implementation, and transition of large, complex systems.

This individual is responsible for performing the following tasks:

• Providing design and development of the Client solutions and taking responsibility for technical design and implementation of the architecture.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining infrastructure and backend applications.
• Providing expertise with web servers, gateways, application servers and content management systems.
• Providing experience in web application technologies and middleware solutions.
• Researching new technologies and products for their applicability to business processes.
• Comparing various solutions and determining the most suitable and ensuring that development efforts are well-planned and in compliance with standards.

Education:

• This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related scientific or technical discipline.

General Experience:

• The resource must have at least ten (10) years of experience planning, designing, building, and implementing web-accessible IT systems using AngularJS.
• This individual must have led or been chief architect for a minimum of two (2) years in a major IT applications implementation effort.
• This individual must also have a strong background with CJIS data security requirements as they relate to software engineering principles and techniques for public safety.
• A strong understanding of Microsoft SQL database structures and SQL Reporting Services is desired. 

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with Maryland’s regulated firearm and handgun permitting laws preferred.
