Position Overview

Work in a fast-paced results-oriented environment, participating in designing the next generation systems for a variety of domestic and international customers. The staff electrical engineer will support various analog, digital, mixed-signal, and cabling design as project requirements dictate. The staff electrical engineer will be responsible for problem solving under general supervision and review from senior engineers.

Tasks may include support of existing systems, PCB design, cable design, or associated documentation tasks. Activities may range from supporting the development of a new system to integration of a new or existing payload on an existing system.

The location for this role will be Devens, MA

Responsibilities

  • Work within multidisciplinary teams of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to design and support complex automated systems
  • Implement engineering design changes on legacy designs
  • Hands on support for production and field repairs
  • Creating and executing test procedures from system level to PCB level tests

Required Qualifications

  • BSEE or equivalent with 2-4 years of experience
  • Experience with CAD tools used for electro-mechanical designs and BOM management
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasking prioritization
  • Hands on experience with standard lab and shop tools
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance if required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Power electronics design experience
  • Working knowledge of any of OrCAD, PADS, AutoCAD or Solidworks
  • PCB design experience with Altium Designer
  • Hands on experience working with electro-mechanical actuator systems and controllers

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this role is $78,600 - $110,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. QinetiQ US considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
