Job Description Our client is seeking a highly experienced SAP Senior Application Consultant specializing in SAP APO Supply Chain Planning to serve as a trusted advisor between business stakeholders and IT teams. This individual will support and enhance supply chain planning, production scheduling, order management, and manufacturing processes while helping drive the organization''s digital transformation initiatives. The consultant will play a key role in solution design, application support, process improvement, and SAP modernization efforts, including S/4HANA adoption. ______________________________ Responsibilities • Serve as the primary SAP Supply Chain subject matter expert for business stakeholders, project teams, and IT partners. • Analyze business requirements and identify opportunities to improve planning, scheduling, manufacturing, and supply chain processes. • Configure, support, and enhance SAP solutions across APO, PP/DS, ePPDS, GATP, order management, production planning, and supply chain execution. • Support business transformation initiatives while maintaining application stability and ongoing sustainment activities. • Lead or participate in SAP implementations, enhancements, testing, training, documentation, and post-go-live support. • Develop functional specifications, process documentation, test plans, test scripts, and solution designs. • Partner with business leaders to evaluate technology investments, build roadmaps, and develop business cases. • Collaborate with internal teams, AMS providers, and third-party vendors to deliver projects and support services. • Analyze planning logic and evaluate differences between SAP APO and S/4HANA environments. • Support integrations between SAP and external platforms using APIs, BAPIs, RFCs, SAP PI/PO, MuleSoft, and related technologies. • Troubleshoot application issues, support data conversion activities, and work with technical teams on custom ABAP solutions. • Recommend improvements based on SAP product updates, industry best practices, and emerging technologies. ______________________________ Qualifications Required Skills • Extensive hands-on experience with SAP APO, including: o PP/DS (Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling) o ePPDS o GATP (Global Available-to-Promise) o Heuristics o PDS usage o MPS concepts • Deep understanding of Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing Operations, Demand Planning, Inventory Optimization, and Logistics processes. • Strong experience supporting SAP applications during large-scale transformation initiatives. • Experience working in complex SAP environments with exposure to SAP S/4HANA. • Ability to understand and analyze planning logic and system behavior across APO and S/4HANA platforms. • Experience gathering requirements, solving complex business problems, and translating business needs into technology solutions. • Strong knowledge of SAP integrations including APIs, RFCs, BAPIs, SAP PI/PO, MuleSoft, and NetWeaver. • Experience creating functional specifications, supporting testing efforts, and collaborating with ABAP development teams. • Experience working with AMS partners, offshore teams, and third-party service providers. Preferred Skills • SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) experience. • Experience with Design Thinking, Design Sprint, or other innovation methodologies. • Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, application support processes, IT governance, and solution architecture principles. • Bachelor''s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
