Genesis10 is currently seeking an ETL Lead Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. We are seeking a highly skilled ETL Lead Developer with deep expertise in the Oracle ecosystem to spearhead our data integration and warehousing initiatives. In this role, you will lead a team of data engineers to build, optimize, and scale robust ETL pipelines that process massive datasets. You will bridge the gap between business intelligence requirements and backend data architecture, ensuring that our data platform is reliable, secure, and performant.
Responsibilities: - Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of complex ETL/ELT processes utilizing enterprise tools and advanced Oracle capabilities
- Take ownership of data warehouse performance, diagnostics, and optimization-specifically focusing on high-volume SQL and PL/SQL workloads
- Collaborate with Data Architects to design scalable data warehouses and data marts using Star/Snowflake schemas and Dimensional Modeling
- Conduct code reviews, establish rigorous data quality frameworks, and mentor senior and junior developers on best practices in ETL design
- Oversee batch window scheduling, automate error handling, and ensure data availability aligns with strict business SLAs
Requirements: - 8+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering/ETL development, with at least 2 years leading engineering teams
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle (12c/19c) architecture, including expert-level PL/SQL (Stored Procedures, Packages, Triggers, Analytical Functions)
- Proven mastery of Oracle-specific tuning techniques: Explain Plans, TKPROF, Optimizer Hints, Partitioning strategies, and Indexing optimizations
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or other enterprise tools like Informatica PowerCenter, IBM InfoSphere DataStage, or Talend
- Deep understanding of Kimball/Inmon methodologies, Change Data Capture (CDC), and handling Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD Type 1/2/3)
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix shell scripting for batch automation, file manipulation, and job scheduling (e.g., Control-M, Autosys, or Cron)
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
