Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Java Architect with deep expertise in designing and guiding enterprise-scale distributed systems within the BFSI domain. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in architecting, developing, and scaling complex systems using the Java Enterprise stack, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
This role demands technical leadership, architectural vision, and the ability to mentor developers while ensuring adherence to design principles, scalability, and performance standards. The candidate must combine technical depth with strong communication and analytical skills to collaborate effectively in a peer-review and design-driven culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Define and own architectural blueprints, standards, and patterns that guide development teams.
- Lead design discussions and reviews, evaluating trade-offs between scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Ensure alignment of solutions with enterprise architecture principles and technology strategy.
- Partner with key stakeholders and engineering leads to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Guide teams in applying best practices for API design, event-driven systems, and domain-driven design (DDD).
- Perform code and design reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
- Drive performance optimization, capacity planning, and observability practices across microservices.
- Collaborate across teams to evolve system architecture for fault tolerance, resilience, and scalability.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through peer programming, architecture walkthroughs, and knowledge sharing sessions.
Qualification
- Bachelors degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise application design and development using Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Proven experience designing and implementing distributed, event-driven, and cloud-native systems.
- Strong grasp of software architecture principles, including modular design, scalability, reliability, and observability.
- Solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) and their application to real-world system design.
- Expertise in messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar with focus on architectural application and performance tuning.
- Demonstrated experience with API design, asynchronous communication, and resilience patterns .
- Strong communication and leadership skills able to articulate complex design decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience leading or influencing peer reviews, design sessions, and architecture forums.
- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and container orchestration.
