The Work
The Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems Senior Software Engineer will have the opportunity to perform real-time processing software development in support of our radar signal processing product lines. Additionally, you will be working as part of an Agile team with domain experts from Software, Subsystems and Systems Engineering to understand requirements, establish architecture/design, implement sound solutions, develop unit tests, and support integration and sustainment activities.

This position requires a U.S. DoD Security Clearance at the SECRET level. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline with a concentration in computer science courses
Minimum of 5 years' Software Development experience
Experience with Object Oriented C++ programming
Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship required

Desired skills

Experience with Software Modeling (UML) and software design
Understanding and application of Design Patterns
Experience with Automated Test tools and Techniques, Static Code Analysis, and Embedded Applications
Experience with C++ Code Optimization for real time systems
Experience with Agile Principles, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Methodologies and Agile configuration Management tools (Git, JIRA, Confluence)
Experience working in a team environment
Team leadership experience
Mentoring experience
Radar and Digital Signal Processing
GPU/CUDA development

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

The base range for this position in New Jersey is $91,000 - $172,488.
