Job Description:
Role: Director of Engineering
We're seeking a future team member for the role of Group Manager to join our Engineering, Applied AI and Digital Platforms team.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
You will lead the strategy, architecture, and delivery of large-scale AI and digital platform solutions, combining deep engineering leadership with strong product alignment and operational rigor in complex financial services environments.
Lead strategic technical roadmap definition for applied AI, digital platform, and mission-critical engineering initiatives.
Design and oversee scalable AI solutions, including agentic workflows, RAG-based assistants, conversational interfaces, and unstructured data ingestion pipelines.
Align engineering strategy with product roadmaps to support client, employee, and enterprise use cases.
Lead the implementation of core platform components and architecture principles for secure, resilient, and high-performing systems.
Build and mentor high-performing distributed engineering teams across regions, driving delivery excellence through agile methods including Scrum and Kanban.
Drive architecture and platform modernization across cloud-native services, microservices, observability, and site reliability practices.
Establish quality gates, engineering standards, traceability controls, and operational support models for critical applications.
Oversee cloud infrastructure, cost optimization, DevOps adoption, and 24x7 support models for enterprise-grade systems.
Support secure software delivery and engineering governance, including controls aligned to regulated environments and certification-driven practices.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including open-source and industry communities, to accelerate innovation and platform capability.

Demonstrated success leading distributed engineering teams in agile environments.
Strong architectural judgment across cloud, platform engineering, and mission-critical applications.

Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical direction.
Strong focus on cost management, operational resilience, and delivery accountability.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Advanced technical education or equivalent practical experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Significant experience in engineering leadership, platform architecture, and enterprise software delivery.
Strong experience leading applied AI initiatives, including agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, and conversational AI solutions.
Experience defining and implementing strategic technical roadmaps aligned to product and business priorities.
Deep knowledge of cloud-native architecture, microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and modern DevOps practices.
Hands-on experience with technologies such as Python, Golang, Java, FastAPI, and observability frameworks.
Experience building secure, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems in regulated or mission-critical environments.
Strong understanding of engineering governance, quality gates, traceability, and operational support models.
Experience leading cloud cost optimization and infrastructure management across complex delivery environments.
Familiarity with digital assets, blockchain platforms, Solidity, Ethereum, and financial services innovation is a plus.
Experience engaging with open-source communities and promoting engineering best practices at scale.
Proven ability to hire, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering organizations.
