ATI is seeking to hire a Process Controls and Automation Engineer to support our manufacturing facility in Pageland, SC. Relocation assistance is available for this position.

As a Process Control and Automation Engineer, you're responsible for improving and streamlining our manufacturing processes through the design, configuration, implementation, support, and integration of process control and automation systems. You'll develop process control applications while providing operational support and problem solving expertise to sustain current production equipment and operations.

A successful Process Control and Automation Engineer will have to quickly develop a strong understanding of the Pageland Facility to identify and develop efficient methods and processes to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and reliability through technical innovation as well as lead the maintenance operations.

Essential Functions
  • Analyze and troubleshoot challenges to appropriately recommend continuous improvement strategies and solutions.
  • Apply advanced engineering principles and process control strategies to improve operating efficiency of new and existing automation systems.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement process control models, strategies, and other methods for ensuring strong outputs, reliability and efficiencies.
  • Provide technical expertise in support of capital projects, process evaluation, and project modifications.
  • Assure process documentation is regularly developed and maintained.
  • Interface with multiple equipment suppliers to understand their equipment operation and control.

Basic Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with exposure to Automation, Programming, and control systems theory
  • At least 2 years of electrical process controls, automation, or electrical controls and instrumentation experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Engineering
  • Allen Bradley & Siemens PLC Based Control Systems
  • Controls Systems PE or Electrical PE license
