Our client, a leading Government Systems Integrator, is in need of 3 Senior DevSecOps Engineers for initial 12 month contract opportunities. Candidates should be located in either Gaithersburg, MD or Egg Harbor Town, NJ. This will be a hybrid role with 3 days on site and 2 days remote. The Senior DevSecOps Engineers will be supporting a major modernization project for an enterprise US Department of Transportation initiative. The DevSecOps Engineers will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining CI / CD pipelines that integrate security scanning, automated testing and compliance checks, implementing and managing container and orchestration platforms, Infrastructure-as-Code for development and troubleshooting build, deployment and pipeline failures, etc.
Required Skills:
- At least 10 years of overall experience with a bachelor's degree.
- CI / CD pipeline build and implementation experience using GitLab (CI or Actions) and Jenkins.
- Enterprise DevSecOps Architecture and Design experience.
- Experience deploying EKS applications using Terragrunt and / or Terraform, specifically in an AWS environment, however, Ansible experience would suffice.
- Python, Bash and / or Go Scripting experience.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Prior experience supporting enterprise Federal projects / programs, however, customer would also accept experience within the Utility, Energy, Healthcare or other highly regulated environments.
Preferred or Nice to Have Skills:
- AWS professional level certifications, CKA / CKAD certs, CISSP or equivalent DevSecOps specific certifications.

The expected hourly rate range for this role is $57 - 82/ hr.
