Scope:
This Senior IT Project Manager will lead and coordinate year-end technology initiatives across internal Mayo stakeholders and external consulting partners, ensuring key activities, dependencies, and deliverables are successfully executed.
The role is highly hands-on, with responsibility for project planning, meeting facilitation, action item management, status reporting, risk identification, and driving projects to completion. This individual may also support additional enterprise technology initiatives as business needs require.
The ideal candidate brings:
-Extensive IT project management experience and is comfortable operating independently while driving accountability across technical and business teams.
-Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential.
-Experience working in Oracle and UKG environments is strongly preferred, along with a solid understanding of system integrations and enterprise applications.
-Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
-Experience with Smartsheet is preferred.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a process-heavy PM role; the team is seeking a technically minded, execution-focused project manager who can roll up their sleeves, navigate complex environments, and keep initiatives moving forward.
Minimum education and/or experience:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience managing projects ranging from simple to difficult complexity while demonstrating increasing scope and depth of responsibilities, and involving multiple technological environments and/or business areas that IT supports, with demonstrated competency in the application of PMI Process Groups and Knowledge Areas OR Master’s Degree with a minimum of 7 years’ experience managing projects involving Information Technology and/or Healthcare disciplines, ranging from simple to difficult complexity while demonstrating increasing scope and depth of responsibilities, and involving multiple technological environments and/or business areas that IT supports, with demonstrated competency in the application of the PMI Process Groups and Knowledge Areas.
Licensure/Certification Required:
Possession of current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or a comparable current certification from a nationally-recognized project management governance body. This certification must be obtained within three (3) years of date of hire.
