Data Center Technician Location: Cheyenne, Wyoming
Shifts Available: Day shift and night shift, split week
OverviewTEKsystems is seeking
Data Center Technicians (DCTs) to join a professional services team supporting a large hyperscale data center environment in Cheyenne, WY. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a world-class infrastructure team, gain hands-on experience, and grow your career

Key Responsibilities- Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startup/shutdown activities for IT equipment (racks, servers, hard drives, switches)
- Execute rack and stack, cabling, labeling, and grounding tasks following established procedures
- Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with safety, deployment standards, and network design tasks (NDTs)
- Troubleshoot hardware and network issues; diagnose and replace faulty components
- Decommission hardware and support refresh activities (e.g., memory upgrades, OS rebuilds)
- Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to Data Center Technician Leads as needed
- Follow security, safety protocols, and on-site operating procedures
Required Qualifications- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 1+ year of data center experience, including rack & stack, cabling, and/or decommissioning
- Experience supporting IT network equipment and low voltage cabling installation
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components
- Proficiency with office productivity tools (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Ability to work non-standard hours (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
- Low Voltage License (Wyoming) OR ability to obtain quickly
- Candidates with relevant IT education, certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Cheyenne, WY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr.
