$45-$50 per hour starting pay, with the potential for higher compensation based on experience
Full-time position
Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
4-day work week with 3-day weekends
Occasional overtime opportunities
Potential on-call work in the future as staffing allows

As Laws Electric grows its commercial operation, there is room for experienced field leaders to take on more responsibility
This is a field-based Commercial Electrical Foreman position supporting projects throughout the Greater Kalamazoo and West Michigan service area. Laws Electric is based in Plainwell, MI, and foremen travel to job sites across the service territory.
Lead commercial electrical projects from plans and layout through completion
Supervise and provide day-to-day direction to journeyman electricians and apprentices
Plan daily and weekly work to keep projects on schedule
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, drawings, specifications, and construction documents
Determine manpower needs based on schedules, project priorities, and upcoming work
Plan ahead for materials, tools, and electrical equipment to minimize jobsite delays
Assign work based on project needs and crew capabilities
Track labor productivity, workmanship, quality, and project progress
Install and oversee commercial electrical systems, including panels, distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting, dedicated equipment circuits, service upgrades, and network cabling
Troubleshoot field issues and make practical decisions that keep work moving
Ensure installations comply with applicable electrical codes, project specifications, and safety requirements
Coordinate work with management, general contractors, project stakeholders, and other trades
Communicate manpower needs, material requirements, scheduling concerns, project progress, and field issues to management
Train and support electricians and apprentices while maintaining crew productivity
Maintain an organized, professional, and safe jobsite
Take responsibility for the quality and completion of assigned projects
Valid Journeyman Electrician license
Valid driver\'s license and clean driving record
8+ years of electrical experience
Previous experience leading an electrical crew and managing projects in the field
Strong commercial electrical construction experience
Ability to independently run commercial electrical projects and crews
Working knowledge of commercial electrical systems, panels, distribution, branch circuits, fixtures, and lighting
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, drawings, specifications, and construction documents
Experience planning manpower, materials, equipment, and daily field activities
Ability to track project schedules, labor productivity, workmanship, and quality
Strong electrical troubleshooting and field problem-solving skills
Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, other trades, and project stakeholders
Strong organization, time management, and verbal communication skills
Ability to train, delegate work to, and provide clear direction to electricians and apprentices
Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions
Strong commitment to electrical safety, code compliance, and quality workmanship
Ability to satisfy Laws Electric\'s applicable pre-employment requirements
