Summary

As the PGMx Infrastructure and Application Support Manager, you will lead the global operations and support for Consular Affairs (CA) IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless performance across domestic data centers, passport and visa processing centers, and overseas posts. Your responsibilities will include overseeing Tier II and Tier III support for critical databases such as Oracle and MS SQL Server, managing a diverse portfolio of applications- including web, imaging, archiving, and client-server solutions-and maintaining robust network infrastructure spanning LAN, WAN, and MPLS firewalls. You will be tasked with ensuring that all enterprise infrastructure and applications consistently meet defined service levels, while directing geographically dispersed technical teams and supporting converged server/storage solutions and cloud migrations.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee global infrastructure operations and systems administration, database administration, network operations, and application support for all Consular Affairs (CA) systems and services, including domestic data centers, passport centers, visa processing centers, and overseas posts.
  • Manage Tier II and Tier III support for databases (Oracle and MS SQL Server), applications (web applications, imaging and archiving, client-server, and specialized applications), and network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, MPLS Firewalls).
  • Ensure enterprise infrastructure and applications meet defined service levels and performance metrics.
  • Lead and coordinate geographically dispersed technical teams and infrastructure, including converged server/storage solutions and cloud migrations.
  • Provide comprehensive 24/7/365 operations and maintenance support for the global CA IT environment, including multi-tiered support (Tier 0-III) for all physical, virtual, on-premises, and multi-cloud infrastructure.
  • Oversee network operations, including LAN, WAN, MPLS, and firewall management, ensuring security compliance and operational excellence.
  • Support application and database environments, manage internal and external database access, and oversee tool accreditation.
  • Deliver enterprise-wide service delivery, deployment, installation, and communications for more than 40,000 worldwide clients serving millions of CA customers.
  • Contribute to the modernization, deployment, operation, and maintenance of critical, complex, and globally distributed IT infrastructure.
  • Ensure continuous modernization and automation, exceptional customer experience, and strategic alignment with CA's mission requirements.
  • Provide full life cycle and operations support for Windows and Linux systems as needed.
  • Support Data Center Operations, including server farms, networking equipment, and storage solutions.

Required Qualifications
  • PMP Certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Top Secret clearance
  • At least 7 years of experience managing infrastructure and applications and projects of similar size, scope, and complexity at multiple locations
  • At least 5 years of experience with Oracle and MS SQL Server database administration and management
  • Expertise managing network operations including LAN, WAN, MPLS, and firewalls

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified Database Administrator certification.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+
  • ITIL Foundation v5

Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASM's overall compensation and benefits package for employees.
