Statistical Programmer III

Hansen Talent Group is seeking a Statistical Programmer III to support a key healthcare analytics project in Columbia, SC. This role focuses on advanced data analysis, programming, and reporting to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that drive data-informed decision-making.

What you’ll do:

• Design and execute complex statistical analyses using Python, SAS, R, and SQL/DB2.
• You’ll develop and maintain database programs for both standard and ad hoc reporting, perform data mining, and create charts, visuals, and narrative summaries to communicate findings.
• This role also involves leading sampling design efforts, ensuring data quality, and supporting publication of analytic results.
• You’ll contribute to project planning, system life cycle maintenance, and development of testing plans for database changes while mentoring others on advanced statistical techniques.

What you need:

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, statistical programming, and interpretation

• Proficiency with Python, SAS, R, and SQL/DB2

• Strong understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts

• Experience with relational database design, querying, and data validation

• Ability to translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred:

• Experience developing or publishing statistical reports or journal articles

• Prior experience leading data or analytics projects
