Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead PowerBuilder Developer with strong expertise in client-server relational database application development, PowerBuilder, Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL, data migration, and ETL.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience developing and maintaining enterprise applications using PowerBuilder and Oracle, along with proven leadership experience working on complex projects involving multiple developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of client-server relational database applications using PowerBuilder.
• Develop and maintain enterprise applications using PowerBuilder and Oracle databases.
• Design and develop Oracle database objects, including:
  • Tables
  • Stored procedures
  • Triggers
  • Views
  • Functions
  • Other database objects
• Develop complex PL/SQL programs and database solutions.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries involving:
  • Multiple JOINs
  • Subqueries
  • Conditional logic
  • Window functions
• Perform data manipulation and transformation activities.
• Develop and maintain ETL scripts for data integration and migration.
• Support data migration activities between systems and databases.
• Analyze application and database requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot application, SQL, PL/SQL, and database-related issues.
• Perform application and database performance optimization as needed.
• Lead development activities across projects involving multiple developers.
• Coordinate technical tasks and development activities across the project team.
• Review code and provide technical guidance and mentoring to other developers.
• Establish development standards, best practices, and coding guidelines.
• Collaborate with business analysts, database administrators, testers, and other technical stakeholders.
• Support application testing, deployment, production support, and defect resolution.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to application and database development.
• Participate in system analysis, design, development, integration, and implementation activities.

Required Qualifications

• 84+ months of experience coding client-server relational database applications using PowerBuilder.
• 84+ months of experience with Oracle and PL/SQL.
• Strong experience creating and managing Oracle database objects, including:
  • Tables
  • Stored procedures
  • Triggers
  • Views
  • Other database objects
• 48+ months of experience writing complex SQL queries and reports using:
  • Multiple JOINs
  • Subqueries
  • Conditional logic
  • Window functions
• 48+ months of experience with:
  • Data manipulation
  • Data migration
  • ETL script development
• 48+ months of experience serving as a Lead Developer on projects involving multiple developers working on the same project or component.
• Experience leading development teams of more than four developers preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
