Remote Manual Tester - Quality Engineer Quality Analyst / QA Tester / QA Engineer

Technical skillset:

• Strong experience in software quality assurance –  both manual and automated testing techniques
• Strong experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress)
• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI)
• Experience with SQL and database testing
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities:

• Automation Testing:
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright
• Automate regression tests to ensure the stability of the application
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline
• Manual Testing:
• Design and execute comprehensive test cases for web applications, UI components, and user workflows
• Conduct thorough manual testing of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover unexpected issues
• Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and bug reports
• API Testing:
• Test APIs using tools like Postman or SoapUI to ensure data integrity and functionality
• Validate API responses and error handling
• Data Validation:
• Perform thorough data validation checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency
• Develop and execute SQL queries to verify data integrity
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with development, product, and design teams to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
• Continuous Improvement:
• Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and methodologies
• Stay up-to-date on the latest testing tools, techniques, and industry best practices

 Preferred experience / Certifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS)
• Experience with micro-services architecture
• Experience with B2C authentication
• Experience with MicroStrategy
• Experience with dashboarding and reporting applications
