Summary

A financial client is seeking  a skilled Java/FIX Developer to join their FIX Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, enhancing, and maintaining FIX connectivity and related applications while working closely with business stakeholders, counterparties, and technology teams.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance FIX protocol integrations and related applications.
  • Configure and implement development changes to support FIX connectivity and associated systems.
  • Create and maintain FIX specifications, test plans, and testing scripts.
  • Analyze and map business and technical requirements to vendor and counterparty FIX specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve FIX connectivity, messaging, and integration issues.
  • Collaborate with business users, counterparties, vendors, and internal technology teams to deliver solutions and support onboarding activities.
  • Participate in system testing, certification, and production support efforts.

Requirements: 

  • Strong proficiency in Java development.
  • Experience working in Linux/Open Systems environments.
  • Hands-on experience with FIX Protocol implementation, support, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to create and interpret FIX specifications and testing documentation.
  • Experience integrating with third-party vendors and mapping to external FIX requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with business stakeholders, counterparties, and technical teams.
