Manufacturing Technician - II GMP

We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Technician to support operations within a viral vector manufacturing facility. Under minimal supervision, this role is responsible for executing frontline manufacturing activities in compliance with batch records, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment and demonstrates strong attention to detail and safety.

• Execute manufacturing processes on the production floor while strictly following batch records, SOPs, and cGMP regulations

• Ensure right-the-first-time execution of all assigned process steps and support a safety-first manufacturing culture

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT), Facilities & Engineering, and Quality

• Perform weighing of raw materials and execute electronic inventory transactions using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and enterprise systems under supervision

• Perform cell culture and filling unit operations for viral vector manufacturing in a cGMP environment using proper aseptic technique, GDP, and scientific methods

• Prepare and utilize single-use systems for solution formulation and filter integrity testing

• Maintain mammalian cell cultures in flasks, CellSTACK chambers, and single-use bioreactor systems

• Assist with cell transfection, viral vector harvest, and fill operations (manual and/or automated)

• Escalate processing or equipment issues as appropriate

• Assist with revisions to SOPs, Manufacturing Production Records (MPRs), and other controlled documents

• Support review of in-process cGMP documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance

• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Ability to work off-shift hours and weekends as required

• Bachelor's degree OR

• Associate's degree with 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or engineering within biotech/pharma OR

• High School Diploma with 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or engineering within biotech/pharma

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or related scientific discipline, or equivalent experience

• Prior experience in biopharmaceutical, cell therapy, or gene therapy manufacturing

• Working knowledge of cGMP regulations

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic data analysis
