About the Role
The Data & Reporting Strategy (DRS) BI /Data Architect provides business intelligence, analytics architecture, and reporting strategy expertise to the DRS team, serving both external and internal audiences. This role focuses on designing, governing, and delivering scalable BI, reporting, and analytics solutions by independently monitoring, understanding, and communicating market trends, consumer behavior, and data usage patterns that influence how analytics and insights products are adopted in the marketplace.
The BI Architect will work closely with the DRS Data Strategist to help drive the strategy of reporting and analytics as a product, including all BI, reporting, dashboards, and analytics solutions delivered to financial institution clients under the Insights Assist product family. This role supports the organization s Data Monetization initiatives as well as internal teams that support financial institution clients.
In addition, the BI Architect will evaluate existing reports, dashboards, and data extracts delivered to external clients and provide recommendations to improve usability, performance, scalability, and business value.
The BI Architect, along with the Data Strategist, will partner closely with DRS leadership on BI and analytics strategy, roadmap definition, delivery timelines, and go-to-market execution. This role ensures that BI initiatives align with client needs and organizational objectives to drive growth, adoption, and revenue for ePayments products. The BI Architect will also collaborate with business stakeholders to design metrics, KPIs, semantic layers, and analytical views that enable effective decision-making and support data monetization goals.
The BI Architect role is critical to the Data Monetization, Snowflake Data Sharing, and Data Compass integration initiatives. These initiatives cannot move forward without strong BI architecture leadership.

Essential Job Responsibilities
- Drive the BI and analytics strategy, in partnership with the Data Strategist, for all reporting, dashboards, and analytics products delivered to financial institution clients under the Insights Assist product family and in support of enterprise Data Monetization goals
- Design and govern business intelligence architecture, including semantic models, reporting layers, KPI frameworks, and analytics consumption patterns
- Serve as a subject matter expert and consultant for BI architecture strategy, including report design standards, dashboard frameworks, metadata management, and data visualization best practices
- Provide BI strategy input for monetization of premium insights, analytics, dashboards, and reporting solutions such as Self-Service BI, Custom Reporting, KPI Dashboards, Interactive Insights, and advanced analytics offerings
- Analyze business processes and information needs; lead requirements gathering, BI solution design, development oversight, and implementation
- Partner with DRS leadership to establish and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to ensure reporting, analytics, and BI requirements are integrated into product and account management strategies
- Work within a matrixed environment, collaborating with ePayments, Finance, Legal, Client Services, Account Executives, and Product teams to represent BI strategy and ensure analytics initiatives are embedded within Agile delivery processes
- Conduct BI data availability and usability assessments and recommend enhancements to support Data Monetization objectives
- Help define the vision and roadmap for BI and analytics platforms, including business case development when required
- Provide hands-on support for complex client-facing ad hoc analytics requests, custom reports, dashboards, and data extracts as needed
- Support selected strategic initiatives and high-impact client engagements through business intelligence analysis and insight delivery

Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, Marketing, or a related field required
Job-Related Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics architecture, reporting, or data analytics; minimum 5 years in analytics consulting or client-facing BI roles
- Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise BI solutions and analytics platforms
- Proven ability to develop and execute BI and analytics strategies
- Experience working with external clients and senior stakeholders in a consultative capacity
- Familiarity with online banking, mobile banking, or digital financial services products
Preferred Qualifications
Technical Knowledge:
- Experience with Snowflake for analytics use cases, including BI modeling, querying, and performance optimization
- Strong proficiency in SQL, BI data modeling, semantic layers, and data profiling
- Hands-on experience with BI and reporting tools (e.g., Cognos, Qlik, or similar platforms)
- Familiarity with data modeling tools such as PowerDesigner or equivalent
- Experience supporting self-service BI and analytics platforms
- Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies
- Familiarity with data sharing, cross-platform BI integration, and analytics enablement
- Experience with IDMC or similar data integration tools is a plus
