What you'll do in the role:

Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks a Director, Technology in New York, NY to develop and support technology solutions for ultra-low latency algorithmic trading and order management systems. Work with business partners and product support teams to understand system requirements. Perform analysis, design, development, testing and production rollout. Develop systems to receive orders from different systems and translate them into an exchange specific format. Write unit tests and automate test cases using python. Perform peer code review, perform quality assurance testing, and present demos to clients. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days a week.

What you'll bring to the role:

-Requires two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years as an Associate, or a related occupation

-Requires two (2) years of experience with the following skills:
  • C/C++;
  • Python;
  • Javascript;
  • Hobbes;
  • Java;
  • Haskell;
  • HTML5;
  • CSS3;
  • SQL;
  • full stack development including:
    • Flask,
    • Fast API,
    • Node.js,
    • Angular;
  • developing and supporting Electronic Algorithmic Trading Systems;
  • TCP/IP;
  • winsock;
  • UNIX/Linux operating system;
  • SCRUM methodology;
  • GHEC, Jenkins, JIRA, MongoDB;
  • docker;
  • podman;
  • jfrog;
  • typescript;
  • Premakel Bazel;
  • Shell; and
  • Perl/Perl template toolkit.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $163,000 and $165,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
