Hiring: Software Engineer II 5G & IoT Wireless Edge Platform Integration
We re looking for an experienced Software Engineer II to join a hands-on engineering team focused on integrating 5G/LTE wireless edge devices, IoT platforms, and cloud-based device management systems.
Location: Remote-first | Periodic on-site lab work in Southern California
Experience: 10+ years
Preference: Southern California or U.S. Pacific/Mountain Time Zones
Key Responsibilities
- Develop middleware, APIs, and services connecting wireless/IoT devices to cloud platforms
Integrate and troubleshoot TR-069, TR-369/USP, SNMP, REST, and gRPC
Develop production software using C/C++, Go, or Python on Linux
Support device provisioning, telemetry, configuration, and FOTA delivery
Perform end-to-end testing with live devices, carrier networks/SIMs, and RF test environments
Troubleshoot connectivity, latency, throughput, firmware, and carrier interoperability issues
Analyze packet captures, device logs, and telemetry using Wireshark, GDB, and similar tools
Required Skills
- 10+ years of software engineering experience in Telecom, Networking, Embedded Systems, or IoT
Strong TCP/IP, IP routing, and Linux fundamentals
Proficiency in C/C++, Go, or Python
Working knowledge of 5G NR, LTE, and 3GPP architectures
Strong protocol-level debugging and troubleshooting capabilities
Preferred Experience
- Embedded Linux, router/CPE firmware, or cellular modem integration
Cloud/IoT device management platforms
Tier-1 carrier certification and interoperability testing
Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins/GitLab CI/CD
RF lab and test equipment experience
eSIM/eUICC and Wi-Fi 6/6E/7
Ideal Candidate:
A hands-on software engineer who understands the full device network cloud ecosystem and can troubleshoot complex wireless, firmware, connectivity, and carrier interoperability challenges.
