job summary:
Must already be local to the Madison area as interviews will take place onsite. No relocation is allowed. This position will be onsite a minimum of two days per week.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The Systems Administrator must be highly self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks with strong attention to detail.

responsibilities:
- The Systems Engineer will play a key role in the design, planning, execution, and installation of the current infrastructure to support new applications and technologies.
- Support software and hardware upgrades and maintenance of Windows servers, operating systems, infrastructure systems, and applications.
- The Systems Engineer relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks.
qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience with server and system administration technologies such as Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, VMWare, and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
- Experience with standard industry practices including management of Windows Server systems.
Nice to have skills:
- PowerShell
- ITIL certification
- Experience supporting M365 and SharePoint
- Administration of Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)
- Administration of Microsoft .NET web applications
