Oxford s client is building test systems for RF Links to LEO Satellites (ground based). They need a project/program manager to work on an established program to deliver test systems to satellite companies. This would be a customer facing role, working on the manufacturing floor ensuring the satellite links are good via BERT & RF Power. Customers are moving the goal posts on projects and requesting new features/configurations. You will work with the customers to address technical tradeoffs related to these changes (e.g.,., if they want to test a higher frequency range such as 50-60 GHz, they aren t going to have the power that they would at the lower frequencies).
Candidates will manage 3-4 projects at a time, at different phases of development.
This is not a design position. Candidates will not be writing proposals. You will be working between engineering teams to remove blockers, translate RF problems into program impact, ensuring test efforts are aligned with deadlines, and that nothing slips through the cracks in validation.
Ideally, candidates will be more technical. PMP certification is not required. They are open to candidates coming from an RF Systems background with an understanding of RF fundamentals (i.e., Link Budget Analysis, S-parameters, noise figures, satellite communication systems (RF payloads, uplink/downlink, ground interfaces). You would also be providing hands on oversight for RF test equipment. A background in automation would be a plus (LabVIEW/Python).
