This is a Power Conversion Validation Engineer Test Execution role within the ENES electrification lab.
The role exists because the team has a critical power conversion / charger program with aggressive deadlines. A large number of defined validation tests must be executed in a short window before the product enters production. To meet schedule, the lab will operate split shifts, and this role specifically covers the early shift.(6AM to 2PM)
This is a handson hardware validation and test execution role
Focused on chargers and power conversion systems
Work is done in a highvoltage electrification lab
1) Handson complex hardware testing (most important)
The strongest candidates will have experience testing complex hardware systems, not just software or simple rigs.
Preferred backgrounds include testing of:
- Power conversion systems
- Chargers
- Battery systems
- Engines
- Drivetrains
- Full machines or vehicles
- Large electromechanical systems
Power Conversion Validation Engineer Test Execution Role (ENES)
1) Role Context & Business Need
- This role supports a Power Conversion Validation Team within ENES.
- The team is responsible for:
- Validation planning
- Test execution for chargers and power conversion systems
2) Work Schedule (Critical Requirement)
- These roles will cover the early split shift.
- Core hours: 6:00 AM 2:00 PM
- This requirement must be explicitly confirmed with candidates.
- Candidates unwilling or unable to work these hours should not be submitted.
3) Role Nature Test Execution (Hands-On)
- This is a hands-on hardware test execution role.
- Preferred candidates have experience with complex hardware system testing, such as:
- Engine testing
- Drivetrain testing
- Full machine or vehicle testing
- Suspension or large integrated systems
- HardwareintheLoop (HIL) experience is acceptable but less preferred than full system testing.
- Contract duration:
- Initial term: 6 months
- Likely extensions for some of the roles
