Job Number: R0251289 M365 Platform Engineer and Developer
The Opportunity: Join a growing M365 platform engineering team supporting enterprise-scale automation, workflow orchestration, advanced scripting, and agent-driven development across a complex multi-segment environment. This role offers the opportunity to build and maintain production-grade automations, influence engineering and automation standards, develop extensible tools and functions, and accelerate our transition into agentic AI-powered automation. You'll develop and maintain automation solutions across Azure and Microsoft 365 environments using PowerShell, and leverage Git-based workflows, CI/CD, Microsoft Graph, Azure automation services, and secure identity practices to drive reliability and efficiency across cloud operations.
What You'll Work On:- Build scripts and modules for Azure Resource Manager tasks, Azure AD or Entra ID operations, and governance automations.
- Integrate with cloud-native automation services such as Azure functions, automation accounts, runbooks, and managed identities.
- Automate Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, and Microsoft Graph workloads, including user lifecycle, licensing, compliance tasks, and monitoring.
- Create scalable scripts that follow M365 throttling, retry logic, and API best practices.
- Support strategic initiatives related to modernization, automation expansion, agentic AI, custom tooling, and platform efficiency.
- Develop reusable modules with advanced functions, robust error handling, structured logging, and idempotent design for cloud resources.
- Use REST-based integrations such as Graph API and Azure management API, JSON or YAML configuration, and cloud identity flows.
- Maintain repositories with clean branching strategies, PR reviews, semantic versioning, tagging, and release notes.
- Use GitHub or Azure DevOps for pipeline automation.
- Build pipelines for linting, testing, NuGet packaging, and deploying Azure Functions, PowerShell modules, or automation runbooks.
- Manage environment-specific configurations and secrets securely via Azure Key Vault.
- Implement secure, identity-based automation using managed identities, app registrations, and least-privilege permissions.
- Ensure compliance with cloud security policies and maintain proper audit logging.
- Produce clean runbooks, module documentation, architectural diagrams, and automation lifecycle documentation.
- Support operations teams by delivering training, demos, and operational handoffs.
- Partner across engineering, cybersecurity, product management, and platform delivery to create scalable, repeatable, and well-governed automation capabilities.
