Job Description:

The AI Engineer will design, develop, and deploy artificial intelligence solutions---including Microsoft Copilot features---within the Dynamics 365 ecosystem. This role requires hands-on expertise in customizing AI-driven processes, integrating with Dynamics 365 (including Power Platform and Dataverse), and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver advanced automation and user experience enhancements. The engineer will focus on solutions that elevate customer relationship management (CRM) and healthcare applications, particularly those supporting call center operations, ensuring intelligent automation, streamlined workflows, and enhanced patient or customer service quality within regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Copilot & Dynamics Integration: Design, build, and enhance Microsoft Copilot (out-of-the-box and custom) features in Dynamics 365 for case management and business processes.
• AI Solution Development: Develop machine learning models, natural language processing (NLP) solutions, and custom data-driven automation supporting Copilot and Dynamics workloads.
• Custom AI Implementation: Architect, develop, and deploy custom AI models or algorithms tailored to unique client or business needs where out-of-the-box solutions are insufficient, ensuring seamless integration with Dynamics 365 and related systems.
• Data Engineering: Prepare, process, and analyze data sources (from Dataverse, Power Platform, external VA systems) for AI solution enablement.
• Prototyping & POC: Collaborate with business and technical leads to translate requirements into proof-of-concept (POC) Copilot use cases. Demo, refine, and iterate solutions as needed.
• Testing & Validation: Lead the validation of AI solutions through robust testing, performance monitoring, and refinement for real-world scenarios.
• Documentation & Training: Support documentation, end-user enablement, and handoff of AI-based solutions to operations teams.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor solution performance and feedback, propose improvements, and remain current on AI advancements relevant to Microsoft/Azure ecosystems.
• Compliance & Security: Ensure AI solutions align with VA, federal, and organizational policies on privacy, data security, and ethical use of AI.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s or Master s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field.
• 3+ years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience (ideally within enterprise/cloud applications).
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure AI services: AI Builder, Azure Cognitive Services, Power Platform AI integrations.
• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 APIs and developing custom plugins/extensions.
• Strong Python and/or C# development skills (or other languages common to AI/automation).
• Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP), machine learning model deployment, and data engineering best practices.
• Experience with Agile Scrum delivery and working in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise between technical and business groups.

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure AI Engineer Associate, Power Platform certifications).
• Experience working with government (VA or similar) or healthcare-related data and compliance.
• Prior experience deploying Copilot solutions or similar Microsoft AI-based process automations.
• Understanding of Power BI and integrating AI outputs into dashboards. Sample Success Indicators
