Position: Product Manager - Investment Management
Location: Boston, MA (4Days Onsite/Week)
Duration: 6+ Months
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with deep Financial Services expertise to lead development of platforms supporting Investment Management and Private Markets. The ideal candidate brings strong domain knowledge across Private Equity, Private Credit, Fund Accounting, and Investment Operations combined with hands-on data management and SQL skills.
Must-Have Skills (Required)
- 7+ years as Product Manager, Product Owner, or Business/Product Analyst in Financial Services
- Strong hands-on experience in Investment Management and Investment Operations
- Deep knowledge of Private Markets — Private Equity and Private Credit
- Solid understanding of Fund Accounting — transaction processing and lifecycle events
- Experience with Market and Security Reference Data — pricing, counterparty, security master
- Proven background in data management and data mapping across multiple systems
- Strong SQL skills — data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments with technology and data engineering teams
- Ability to define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Strong stakeholder communication — translating complex financial workflows for technical and non-technical audiences
- Subject matter expertise on private market transactions — capital calls, distributions, valuations, settlements
Good to Have (Preferred)
- Experience with private market or investment platforms — accounting, portfolio management, or data platforms
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks
- Experience supporting large-scale system integrations or platform modernization
- Background in asset management firms, asset servicers, or fintech organizations
- Knowledge of data ingestion, enrichment, and distribution pipelines
- Experience with regulatory, audit, and reporting requirements
