Our client is seeking a QMS Manager in Pembroke Pines, FL
Role Description
We are seeking a Quality Engineer with strong experience in design controls and software quality to support the development and lifecycle management of embedded systems.
This individual will play a key role in ensuring compliance, standardization, and risk management within a regulated environment, with a strong preference for candidates from MedTech (SaMD), followed by Aerospace & Defense, or Automotive industries.
This is an individual contributor role working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams in an Agile development environment.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulations, and internal Quality Management System (QMS)
Support and implement design control processes throughout the product lifecycle
Collaborate with software and systems teams on embedded system development
Drive risk management activities, including risk analysis and mitigation strategies
Participate in verification and validation (V&V) activities for software and system-level products
Support Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) processes, documentation, and compliance requirements
Partner with operations and manufacturing teams to ensure quality across production processes
Develop, maintain, and improve quality documentation, procedures, and standards
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process standardization
Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Skills & Requirements
4+ years of experience in Quality Engineering (6-9 years preferred)
Experience with design controls in regulated industries
Background in one or more of the following:
MedTech / Medical Devices (preferred)
Aerospace & Defense
Automotive
Experience supporting software quality, preferably in embedded systems
Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and compliance frameworks
Hands-on experience with:
Risk management
Verification & validation processes
Quality documentation and audits
Experience with Software as a Medical Device (SaMD)
Familiarity with Agile development environments
Exposure to manufacturing or operational quality processes
Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ISO 13485, ISO 14971, AS9100, IATF 16949)
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams
Strong communication and documentation skills
Self-driven and capable of thriving as an individual contributor
