Description & RequirementsThe Network Testing Platforms team is looking for a skilled and driven software engineer to help build, design, and optimize robust testing environments and infrastructure critical to our development lifecycle. In this role, you'll play a critical part in enabling automated, scalable, and reproducible test infrastructure by using modern virtualization and containerization technologies.What's in it for you:This is a unique opportunity to join a team that will design and implement automated testing environments for network design, services and applications. - Practice and promote the use of a modern software development lifecycle
- Actively interact with engineers and business stakeholders to capture and refine requirements
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand design specifications and translate them into effective test methodologies
- Proactively push the boundaries of technical solutions with innovative ideas and influences
- Stay up to date with emerging tools and best practices in infrastructure automation, network emulation, and virtual testing environments
- Be a supportive part of the team's culture of open communication and collaboration
- Collaborate cross functionally with network architecture, development, and operation teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and high quality deliverables
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and scalability metrics for network validation
You'll need to have:- A Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of non-internship professional development experience in software design and implementation (Python or Go).
- Professional experience with API design and development best practices
- Professional experience with relational database (MySQL or PostgreSQL) and SQL language
- Experience interacting environments with CI/CD platforms (Github/Jenkins)
- Curiosity and a drive to learn, grow, and take on new challenges
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong documentation skills
We'd love to see: - Hands-on experience with Containerlab, Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent virtualization technologies
- Experience applying Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) principles to deliver secure, efficient, and well-tested systems.
- Hands-on fullstack experience (JavaScript/TypeScript/React)
- Familiarity with network protocols, routing, and switching concepts
- Enthusiasm for improving SDLC processes and development workflow
- Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced test automation frameworks and scripts (ie, Robot Framework) to accelerate testing cycles and improve efficiency
- Proficient with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code technologies including Ansible and Terraform
Salary Range = 00 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
