Job Title: Azure Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Azure Senior Systems Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, implementing, and supporting Azure cloud infrastructure while ensuring high availability, security, and performance. This role requires a proactive engineer with strong troubleshooting skills, sound engineering judgment, and experience supporting enterprise applications, API integrations, and CI/CD deployment pipelines. The selected candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions, with a focus on Mortgage Loan Origination Systems (LOS).

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
Support and optimize enterprise cloud environments while ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions.
Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and infrastructure automation.
Support API integrations and deployment processes for Mortgage LOS applications.
Collaborate with software development teams to ensure seamless application deployments.
Work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders to align infrastructure solutions with business objectives.
Monitor system health, performance, and availability using enterprise monitoring tools.
Implement infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies.
Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and cloud governance standards.
Participate in system upgrades, maintenance activities, and disaster recovery planning.
Document infrastructure architecture, operational procedures, and technical solutions.

Required Skills:

7+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Azure Storage, Azure App Services, Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Azure Load Balancer, Azure Backup, and Azure Active Directory.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep).
Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
Experience with API integrations and deployment automation.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration and enterprise infrastructure.
Experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other automation scripting languages.
Strong understanding of networking, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and cloud security.
Experience performing root cause analysis and infrastructure performance tuning.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting Mortgage Loan Origination Systems (LOS).
Microsoft Azure certifications such as:
Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)
Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Experience working in Financial Services or Mortgage industries.
